Romania has been confirmed as a member of the European organization COST. Ana Aslan International Foundation, coordinates the national network for GoodBrother Action and Net4Age-Friendly

Romania was confirmed at the beginning of May, as a member of the European organization COST, a funding organization for the creation of research networks, and the Ana Aslan International Foundation, through Professor Dr. Luiza Spiru, is the coordinator of the national research network for GoodBrother Action and Net4Age-Friendly.


Prof. Univ. Dr. Luiza Spiru, President of the Ana Aslan International Foundation, participated in writing the proposals for the two COST actions - GoodBrother and NET4AGE-FRIENDLY, and was invited by the COST National Secretariat to be a member of the Management Committee of these Actions and to coordinate the national network. COST research for both actions.

Along with the Ana Aslan International Foundation, the ROHEALTH Health and Bioeconomy Cluster, the Polytechnic University of Bucharest and the Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy will also participate in both COST actions.
In the first action, GoodBrother, at the effort of researchers from the national organizations mentioned above, joins Transilvania University Brașov, and in the action COST 2 - NET4AGE-FRIENDLY, the national network is completed with the Polytechnic University of Timișoara and Canary Technology Innovations.

GoodBrother - Network on Privacy-Aware Audio- and Video-Based Applications for Active and Assisted Living, aims to improve the health, quality of life and well-being of the elderly, with disabilities and fragility, through specialized devices and accessories for assisted persons and professional caregivers and informal.


The GoodBrother Action Management Committee consists of:

“NET4AGE-FRIENDLY” COST Action - International Interdisciplinary Network on Smart Healthy Age-friendly Environments

To promote the social inclusion of older people, as well as their active and independent lives, NET4AGE-FRIENDLY COST Action will establish an international and interprofessional network of researchers with stakeholders in these fields in all fields of activity.
The national research network COST 2 - “NET4AGE-FRIENDLY” will be coordinated by Mrs. Prof. Univ. Dr. Luiza Spiru, President of the Ana Aslan International Foundation. The institutions that constitute the core of this COST Action: Ana Aslan International Foundation, ROHEALTH - Cluster for Health and Bioeconomy, Polytechnic University of Timișoara, Polytechnic University of Bucharest, CANARY TECHNOLOGY INNOVATIONS S.R.L., UMF Carol Davila, the network will be expanded.

The aim is to encourage awareness and support the creation and implementation of intelligent internal and external environments that are healthy for present and future generations. NET4AGE-FRIENDLY aims to overcome critical fragmentation and gaps in both conceptual and pragmatic innovation, in sensitive, age-friendly and sustainable environments, to address the challenges of European research policy and policies.
NET4AGE-FRIENDLY will be used as a connector for engaging and hosting regular thematic sessions with local and regional stakeholders and user representatives from various countries, as well as to encourage the creation and sharing of knowledge among researchers. Particular attention will be paid to promoting the involvement of early career investigators, entrepreneurs and participants in the target countries of COST inclusion.
