The European Commission recently launched the Horizon Intellectual Property (IP) Scanning Service.
This tailored, front-line, free IP support service is specifically designed to help European businesses and other SMEs effectively manage and capitalize on intellectual property in collaborative research and innovation efforts, with a special focus on Horizon. EU-funded 2020. / European projects.
Building on a vast network of local IP experts covering all EU Member States and Horizon 2020 / Europe partner countries, the Horizon IP Scan team provides an individual, professional, jargon-free assessment of the intangible assets of SMEs:
- Showing them how to protect their existing intellectual property when a multi-partner research and innovation effort begins;
- Assist them in developing a common strategy with their partners to manage and exploit the new IP generated jointly in their project.
