We welcome our new member: the University of Petroșani!

The University of Petroșani has a long and beautiful tradition, being the successor of the "School of Bridges and Roads, Mines and Architecture" which operated in Bucharest since 1864, and since 1948 in Petroșani for the beginning under the name of the Coal Institute. After 1990, through the diversification of university fields and specializations, the Mining Institute of Petroșani became the Technical University (1991) and later the University of Petroșani (1995). Based on this strong university tradition and the prestige it enjoys in the country and abroad, our University today provides the necessary conditions for its students to acquire a high qualification in many and varied fields, training taking place in all forms of education. The professional training of specialists is carried out in three faculties: the Faculty of Mines, the Faculty of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering and the Faculty of Sciences.
