The LIFE 2021 calls for proposals have been published and include 18 topics under the European Commission's sub-program, "Clean Energy Transition".

Building on HORIZON 2020 energy efficiency activities, LIFE Clean Energy will continue to support projects that build policy frameworks for the transition to clean energy at all levels of governance; accelerating the advancement of technology, digitalization and new services and business models; improving professional skills in the market; attracting private funding and supporting the development of sustainable energy investment projects; and involving and empowering citizens in the field of clean energy transition.

Approximately 95 million euros will be available for project ideas.

The deadline for submission of proposals under the LIFE Clean Energy Transition subprogramme is 12 January 2022.

The calls address topics such as:

· Nature and Biodiversity

· Circular economy and quality of life

· Climate change mitigation and adaptation

· Clean energy transition

· Operational grants for non-profit entities
