The Annual Symposium of Clinical Trials brings to the fore lessons due to the COVID-19 pandemic


2020 is a year of unprecedented challenges. That is why international and local professionals dedicated to the development of new therapies and vaccines to solve the COVID-19 pandemic, will be present at the Annual Symposium of Clinical Studies organized by AVANTYO, in partnership with RoHealth-Health and Bioeconomy Cluster, a media media partner of the event.
The theme of this edition is ”2020: a year of unprecedented challenges in clinical research. What did we learn and how we can turn the learning from COVID-19 pandemic in a win for future.”

The event will take place for a day, in virtual format, bringing together regulators from Romania and other European countries, high-level representatives of the international biopharmaceutical industry, specialists in regulatory issues, KOL / medical investigators, CRO representatives, associations of patients, as well as various other professionals interested in the arena of clinical research.


Highlights of the 2020 program include interdisciplinary sessions in which clinical research industry actors can meet and interact directly in discussion panels to address the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the planning and management of clinical trials, along with the lessons learned. we can apply in the future.
The 2020 edition is the second organized by AVANTYO Institute of Clincal Research under the patronage of EUCROF - European Federation of Clinical Trial Companies and ACCSCR - Association of Romanian Clinical Trial Companies.


The representatives of the Romanian clinical trials industry are concerned to bring Romania back on the international map of interest for clinical trials with real development benefits for doctors, chances for innovative treatments for patients and significant amounts to the budget. On the other hand, they also want to create here a pole for improving clinical research in Central and Eastern Europe through meetings, debates and sharing experiences.
