Why a book for kids?

Despite all the efforts of Europe and its initiatives supporting bioeconomy, the large public is often unaware of the bioeconomy-related terminologies, the bio-based applications in every-day’s life and the technologies behind the innovations produced by the bio-based research and industry. It is essential to reach young people at the beginning of their life as consumers, in order to grow then as responsible consumers. This book has been conceived with the aim to increase awareness of the environmental, social and economic benefits of sustainable and circular bioeconomy and its sectors, in particular Bio-based sector among young people at pre-school and elementary.
