The Medcorp Association established the “Neighborhood Health” (“Sănătate în Vecinătate”) program with the aim of bringing quality medical services closer to rural communities with limited access to such services.

“Sănătate în Vecinătate” program produces a real change in the health status of vulnerable communities and reaches those who really need medical care.

A defining aspect of the “Sănătate în Vecinătate” project is its long-term commitment to the communities it visits. The Medcorp phone support service facilitates continuous communication with patients, offering them advice and directing them to the right specialists, to county or city hospitals, continuing to monitor diagnosed cases and contributing to the implementation of prevention-oriented habits.

“Sănătate în Vecinătate” program produces a real change in the health status of vulnerable communities and reaches those who really need medical care. The Medcorp association continuously collaborated with the local authorities, social workers and medical personnel from the localities where the activities were carried out. Thus, priority was given to locals known to have chronic diseases, the elderly, as well as those who have difficulty moving, financial difficulties or who do not benefit from health insurance.
